Bluecast Episode 27 – Funniest Show Yet

April 18, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

Wow. I’m glad non-gamer Pat was able to talk me into letting him on the show. Not only that, but my buddy Brandon called me before the show, which gave me the idea to bring him on…and he happened to bring our buddy David. Then with myself and Mike, the show took on a whole new level of awesomeness.

We start things out with news, diving into that whole Activision/IW fiasco. From there, we get into Silent Hunter V, 3D gaming, and what co-op should be. But what makes all the above interesting is the added humor from the mixture of douche-bags. I have no problem calling this the funniest show ever. I’m sure you won’t either.

Oh, and this was from the chatroom:

User1: Has anyone played Halo?

User2: Never heard of it, did it just come out?

User1: No pretty new I think on the Wii.

User2: Huh who makes it?

User1: Bungiecord

Bluecast Episode 26 – The PC-Centric Episode

April 11, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

PC gaming seemed to be the talk of the town here. While Jose was absent, we were joined by gamer extraordinaire, Matt, along with previous guest Mike. We get into some Bad Company 2 vs. Modern Warfare 2 talk and continue to touch on the crappy things game companies do to us. But, not all is negative with a discussion on the various mods out there for Source and Unreal. Though, being the second live show, it wasn’t without its faults. I’m still nervous out of my pants working a hundred-button machine live. Matt and Mike go out for a smoke and never come back. Or do they? That was scary.

And like normal, we go over our weekly plays, new releases, and the most recent news. Also like normal, Sean has very little to add, though what he adds is always gold.

Though the recording wasn’t without its problems. The studio I broadcast from will have a good recording solution shortly, until then, I’m doing it by recording the stream on my computer and editing for upload. The odd thing this time around was there were audio gaps throughout. This was a bitch to edit, though strangely no audio was missing.

Bluecast Episode 25 – Now Live With Epic Fail

April 04, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

This Bluecast marks the start of going live. Every Saturday from 5-7pm cst, the BlueGamer Bluecast will be done live for two hours, with the opportunity for anyone to call in and make fun of us. This week, live in studio, new regular guest Mike joins us along with Jose, and Sean calling in from Florida. Things immediate get epic when we can’t even get the show started. This radio equipment is overwhelming. But we get past that and commence with a fantastic show.

We go over some of the April Fool’s jokes that the industry played on us, plus delve into the topic of DRM once more. Mike and Jose try to get Adam into RPG’s and we do a review of God of War 3. There’s a lot going on here, and if you ever want to be a part of it, make sure to tune in live on Saturdays from 5-7pm cst at In The Face Radio, the station we broadcast from. We’ll also play various songs from video game soundtracks during our few breaks.

Bluecast Episode 23 – Say Hi To The New Guy

March 03, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast 2 Comments →

Wow. A consecutive week for a Bluecast. This week we introduce a new member of the show, Bibbz, who will help balance out Sean’s zaniness and Adam’s obsessiveness. We discuss the PS3 Phat lockdown as well as the big Infinity Ward debacle. We have a review of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and the DLC for The Force Unleashed. We also talk about talking about Bad Company 2 next week and how we were all hoping to have our copies before the show. ….so next week’s show should be pretty awesome. Not that this one isn’t. I promise.

Bluecast Episode 22 – Sean’s Internet Sucks

February 24, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast 4 Comments →

I gotta say that for being out for about a month, this show started off good. There’s great stuff here. But unfortunately Sean’s internet sucks so we were cut a bit short. Although because of the technical difficulties, the show ended on a cliffhanger. I guess you can now compare the Bluecast to Lost. It’s that epic.

Sean and I review Dante’s Inferno, comparing it to God of War. We also go over some Avp, DRM, and GDD (Gamestop Dumpster Diving). We also throw in an STD or two.

Bluecast Episode 21 – Predator With Candy Cane Claws

January 11, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

This week is a bit shorter than others, though, it’s not about the time you have, but how you use it. Right? Regardless, we talk a bit about Darksiders and it’s game of the year status. Plus, how it’s awesome because there’s one part that’s just like another game but I won’t tell you because I’ll spoil it. We also touch a bit more on the whole Call of Duty franchise and Aliens vs. Predator in other territories. The opening song is another piece by MegaDriver, Metropolis.

Bluecast Episode 20 – Game of the Year Show

January 04, 2010 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

2009 has gone and we haven’t done a show in about 6 months. To start off the new year right, we have a brand-new Bluecast for you covering our favorites and disappointments from 2009. Adam and Sean work the whole episode, but it is possible we may have a new member or two pretty soon. That is, if we can keep recording.

Intro music is MegaDriver‘s Chemical Plant metal cover of Sonic 2 from their MetalHog album.

Bluecast Episode 19 – Let’s Get Technical

July 22, 2009 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

This week on the Bluecast we’re joined by Jason Johnson of Period-Three fame and with him we discuss a little of everything. From BF1943, Ghostbusters, Red Faction, game engines, and a little Mine Craft.

We also find out I have no idea what Sims is about, and what I mean by using my iPhone in a women’s clothing store. It’s all full of class and only about an hour of your life, so if you break down the time spent on the toilet for a full week, you have plenty of time to listen in.

Bluecast Episode 18 – Show Notes

March 24, 2009 By: Adam Blue, Editor-in-Chief Category: Podcast No Comments →

This week, Adam, Sean, and Jose discuss co-op gaming and what Apple will eventually be offering gamers. Jose and Adam also try to play the iPhone Watchmen online game…but no luck. This episode may seem kinda lame since we stuck we a show-note format. But it is still very informative and it’s clear that Jose doesn’t play demos.
