Crysis 2 PC Performance Video Review 0

I still can’t even play the original Crysis at maximum potential. It’s close, and most people wouldn’t notice. But I do. Even with the new rig I bought in anticipation of Crysis 2, I was still let down in that hardcore, geeky way.

Their new engine, Cryengine 3, is scalable to multiple hardware platforms, meaning consoles. Scary thought. And yeah, it turns out to look not as hot as Crysis, but the effects and the way it runs makes this game look amazing. Here’s a video:

Note: Best watched in HD with a decent machine. HD may cause stuttering on some machines/networks which will not display as intended.

Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory:
6144MB RAM
Hard Drive:
1 TB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Co-op Edition

As you can see, with the graphics at max, it runs beautifully. It’s great that I can do this on my PC, but it’s not as good as the original Crysis. Crysis modded with modern effects could be amazing.
