QuakeCon: I Laughed At Todd Howard 0
At QuakeCon today sat in on a speech by Bethesda’s Todd Howard. The speech was about how the company does things in the gaming industry, and the new relationship with id. But it was hilarious.
First, the slide-shows were full of memes and lolcats. He started with a scenario, saying usually with one good thing here, and one good thing there, 1+1=2. But with Bethesda and id, 1+1=3. He said Carmack couldn’t figure out how that was possible, so, with slides, they show him computing the possibilites of 1+1=3, with the outcome of 1+1=3.725… And Carmack exclaiming he believes 1+1=4 is possible. But Todd tells us that id’s Todd Hollenshead has already acomplished that, by showing pictures of him with three other women. And that was funny to me becuase just that morning, that Todd H was working an event with some hot women all over him. I hope this video gets put on the net soon.
The speech didn’t really come to anything, except their design philosophy, which as a privately operated company, their shit will always be good…even if I personally did not like Fallout 3. I have more respect for Bethesda which has only hyped my interest of Brink even more.
