Playstation 3: Yeah, so I did it. 0

PS3

I decided to get one because there are a few games coming out pretty soon I’d like to get. Namely, Drake’s Fortune. I also stumbled upon a pretty good deal on Craig’s list, and I have been really good with my money lately. With the console I got Warhawk with headset, Heavenly sword(traded in DW Gundam), and Resistance. Resistance is alright…I heard it gets good later on, so I’ll hang in there. I don;t know what to do with Warhawk. Hopefully some EvAver’s can fill me in tomorrow night. But the real gem here, is Heavenly sword. Probably the best game on the PS3, Heavenly Sword is one of those games that the true gamers will…truely dig. It’s an action game with old-school style and theme. I’ve only played through the first chapter, but it had enough action and variety. This first chapter also played out like a tutorial, so we’ll probably see some beefy fighting coming up. The fighting is what I like. It offers a bunch of moves/combos, along with stances, and my favorite: counter-attacks. There are three types of counters, which are color-coordinated by the enemy right before they hit you. You press either stance button associated with that color along with the counter button to complete a counter.

But you know what all this means? I need an HDMI selector. I never thought that would happen.

But to go along with this, I purchased a Logitech Harmony Remote a short time back. With one single press of a button from one remote, I can have my 360 turn on, go to it’s channel, and go to its audio source. Same with my DVR, and almost the same with my PS3. Sony thought it be wise to leave IR out of their Home Entertainment device and stick with Bluetooth, but luckily enough, Nyko provided us with a solution to this. This IR remote works by having the user plug in an IR USB dongle. Brilliant. Now I can say with a press of a button from a single remote, I can watch Blu-Ray movies(Casino Royale looks fantastic). I know this is the first you’ve heard me mention Blu-Ray. But don’t worry. HD-DVD isn’t far behind. I dig any format offering me HD.
