Netflix Knows! 0

After trying to watch Batman: Mask of the Phantasm on my 360 via Netflix, I just get the loading screen. I give up, start watching it on my laptop, and receive the following in an email:

Dear Adam,

Last night, you may have had trouble instantly watching movies or TV episodes via your Xbox due to technical issues.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. If you were unable to instantly watch a movie or TV episode last night via your Xbox, click on this account specific link in the next 7 days to apply your 3% credit on your next billing statement for the price of your 1 DVD out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan. You know what this means? Read the first line again: Last night, you may have had trouble instantly watching movies or TV episodes via your Xbox due to technical issues. All that tells me is that somehow I’m being watched. It’s bad enough my friends can see I’m watching Maniac Nurses, but now apparently Netflix is seeing me through the XBox camera, or possibly my window. And 3% to my bill? How about 3% of my life back? Why? Because I’m spending time creeped out about the whole thing.

In all honesty, that’s pretty cool. I don’t need 3% back, but the email telling me they are aware of the issue is awesome.

EDIT: To clear the mass confusion this has created, I know all XBox Live Netflix subscribers received this, and that I’m not really being physically watched. Just a joke post…
