4 Reasons I Will Not Attend The Modern Warfare 2 Midnight Launch 1
Because you ask. Reasons:
1. If Sean or Chad was in Texas with nothing to do in the morning, I would go to the midnight launch.
2. If Amazon wasn’t offering $20 for a future video game purchase (NSMB Wii, plus $10 credit), I would go to the midnight launch.
3. If I felt this game was going to be as awesome as I’m tricking myself into believing, I would go to the midnight launch.
4. If Infinity Ward wasn’t doing their best to look like a bunch of ‘un-cool’ developers, I would go to the midnight launch.
You see, Modern Warfare 2 will be the best selling game of all time. I’m a fan of the series, but only because they are entertaining. If I had my pick of multi-player FPS’s we should all be crazy for, it would be Frontlines or Battlefield 2. With that, it’s more of a celebration of non-gamers. There is nothing wrong with that, but as a hardcore gamer, the crowd won’t be there for me. The game is pretty simple and flashy, plus highly rewarding. Instant gratification at all times. It’s a win/win formula. But for a deep game-play experience, it’s not there. So while it’s a day-one purchase for me, it’s not a midnight release for me.
