Yes! Pokemon Snap! That game is sooo fun!
Tuesday. Yes, it hasn’t been too consistent, but at least it’s been only a day later. I’m off that day so I can put more energy into the show.
The post below is a new feature for the site called ‘Game Talk’. Sean and I tend to have some pretty hilarious gaming-related chats over MSN, so I figure it would be fun to display a portion of that for your reading pleasure. It could be weekly, daily, or who knows.
Adam Blue says:

I found a website, TripleTags.com, that lets you create PS3/PSP Gamer Cards similar to what is used for the XBox 360 Gamer Cards. Mine is below.

It’s not much, but is still pretty neat considering Sony isn’t doing anything like this themselves.
Rock Band is supposed to be the hot item this year alongside the Wii. But, fortunately I have my ways of getting these hot-ticket items. Let me just say, Rock band is worth it. It’s totally worth it with a group of people. There’s not much more that needs to be said other than bring me some Offspring and Chuck Berry. Although, I do have an issue with the red drum-pad not being recognized occasionally, unless it’s just me.
Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 is also a game I’ll tag as worth it. During the Wii’s life cycle, there hasn’t been an FPS that took advantage of the Wiimote. Most of the time, these FPS’s would turn out rather bland, or just too much emphasis on the wrong parts of the Wiimote. But what EA has here, is nearly perfect. After tweaking with the somewhat robust control options, I was able to get an enjoyable control scheme. This consisted of using the Wii Zapper, but holding the nun-chuck in the other hand. I made the dead-zone box as small as possible, which I believe an obsolete one would do better. Then, playing in the game world, I never felt the controls as being overbearing over unnecessary. Twitch up to reload, thrust forward to melee, and with iron-sights up, twitch the nun-chuck left or right to lean out of cover left or right. With a grenade in hand, press the trigger near a target and pull back the remote and ‘throw’ forward. There goes your grenade chucking. Controls aside, the game offers Campaign mode as well as Arcade mode that plays similar to ‘House of the Dead’ or ‘Time Crisis’. The graphics aren’t too good, which are easily overlooked by how immersed you become. Online play consists of 32 players, but the combat is too fast for the control types to really enjoy it. I say ‘buy it’ just to have it. It’s fun to pull out every once-in-a-while for some fun(that’s what she said).
I don’t really like how the sound turned out for my voice. For some reason the sound in Windows Movie Maker turns out better than recording from Audacity. I even had the mic a little further away from me, and closer to Sean.
Well, it’s all a learning process. Please be sure to leave feed back. Be critical.
This episode, Sean sort of breaks out his shell, and Adam explains his love(or lack of) for Assassin’s Creed. They discuss the Activision/Blizzard merger, Gamespot’s firing of Gerstmann, and possible contenders for Game of the Year(again). And like always, Call of Duty 4 talk. It never ends. The music featured this episode is the song Open Your Heart from the Sonic Adventure Soundtrack.
Because of my real job, I don’t have time today to do the Episode 3 Bluecast. But don’t worry, I have plenty of time tomorrow, so we’ll have a good show for you. Until then, enjoy the irony that is Gamespot/Penny-Arcade. There is a connection there.
It’s all about the green. I’m not going to lie.
UPDATE: And this is priceless:

It’s not Photoshop. D-Toid really did it.
UPDATE #2: An Evil Avatar user posted a reply he got back from Gabe of Penny-Arcade, after he asked him about their ads for Hellgate and Soul Calibur Legends.
Hellgate has a free demo. We tend to give games some slack if there is a demo you can go play for free. Readers can try it for no cost and decide if they like it or not for themselves.
SC is not a terrible game. We’re fans of SC and Legends isn’t bad
especially co op. I think it’s worth a rent at least if you like SC.I think the important thing is that Tycho and I approve all ads. Sometimes we have too choose ads almost a year before a game comes out and we might only see a very rough build. Sometimes the game ships and it sucks. I think we have a pretty good track record though. The truth is we turn down more money in ad revenue than we take in.
That sounds good to me. If I got to the point with this site that I could choose the ads I want, and still make the money I want, then I would totally do it. Even in that case, I would still allow ads for those guilty-pleasure titles, like the Blade II game. If I was asked to put up ads for the Blade II game, I would certainly do it, because I’m a huge Blade fan. But the game is just terrible(and now BC on the 360!).
